What is Oculoplasty?

Oculoplasty, also known as ophthalmic plastic surgery, is surgery with relation to the eye and its surrounding structures. Oculoplasty surgery may be performed to improve function, comfort and appearance for the following conditions:

  • Tear Drainage Problems
  • Eyelid Malposition
  • Skin Cancers of the Eyelid
  • Problems of the Orbit (eye socket)
  • Eyebrow Problems

Occuloplasty is a specialized branch of Ophthalmology, which focuses on abnormalities of the structures around the eye. Occuloplasty points

Many times, patient can not realize that he has glaucoma utile it is too late as there are no symptoms. Vision once lost in glaucoma cannot be restored back, but whatever vision has remained can only be preserved. It is must to put drops in the eyes regularly. It is important to check intraocular pressure every 2-3 months. Keep one bottle of drops ready before existing bottle is finished. Keep bottle of medicine with you even during travelling.
